Pave It Forward Campaign Launched on GoFundMe! Please Support Paving Our Center’s Parking Lot

The Terrace Heights Community Association is raising funds to pave our local Civic Center parking lot.  We are about halfway to our goal of $32,500 and just need to raise $15,000 more to make this a reality. Your support will make our historic community civic center even better.  Every dollar counts, and we are thankful for any amount you give.

Benefits

Upgrading our parking lot from gravel to pavement will put an end to potholes, puddles, grading, and costly maintenance while increasing safety, functionality, and community pride.

 About the Civic Center

The Terrace Heights Civic Center was built in 1911 as the Terrace Heights Grammar School, becoming the high school when Moxee High School was destroyed in a fire in 1927. The building was deeded to the Terrace Heights Improvement Association (now the Terrace Heights Community Association, a 501(c)4 non-profit organization) in 1945 when it was converted to a community center and library.

Over the years it has been used as a community gathering center by many organizations such as the Lions Club, Boy Scouts, Fire Station, Sherriff’s Precinct office including the Citizens Patrol and Block Watch programs, Yakima Ranches, religious groups, and has been host to countless private celebrations and events.
